This comes from a new e-book titled "Beyond Batman: The Unauthorized True Story of Christian Bale and His Dark Knight Dilemma" by Vince Russel. Wrestling fans might be interested to know that he also wrote an unauthorized biography of CM Punk (aka Phil Brooks).
Here are the sections that are getting people riled up, via The Press Association:
"Why would Christian Bale walk away from what is certainly going to be either the first or second highest grossing movie in the history of cinema?
"He could probably make 50 million dollars for being in the movie 20 minutes. And it would be worth every penny to the studio."
"Sources close to Christian Bale have reportedly begun expressing their suspicions that Bale now views the Batman films in the same light that Robert Downey Jr views the Iron Man films."
We all know that Warner views Bale as Batman at this point and someone that the company can rely on in terms of being a bankable star. But if this is actually true, it may be a bad idea for Warner Bros and the Justice League movie as a whole. Bale could literally hold up production, asking for more money than before. I would rather see them invest in another actor and use the movie as a way to relaunch the character. That way, the Nolan movies can be seen as something more of an Elseworlds story, instead.
