Now, being a sick human being, I was pulling for Edna Krabappel dying from another T-shirt cannon incident causing even more heartache for Ned Flanders. Unfortunately, Marcia Wallace—the voice behind Edna—recently passed away for real, forcing the show to outright admit that she was not the character that would be dying in "Four Regrettings and a Funeral"—though they WILL retire her character at a later date. Poor Ned.
So, if it wasn't going to be Edna, who was going to bite the dust? Well, the answer is...
CHIP DAVIS.
That's right, ladies and nerds, Springfield's own Chip Davis has passed on from the show, joining the ranks of characters such as Maude Flanders and Bleeding Gums Murphy. An absolute nobody. How mad are you?
As always, check back regularly to see what Chris "The Dace Man" Dace is looking at (and no, it's not just porn), as well as all of the other bloggers here at Fanboys Anonymous. Until then, for the few, the proud, and of course the Dacetacular, grab a beer—and in this case, a seat at a Reverend Lovejoy sermon —and check out what's going on here in the Dace-Sphere. See ya next time!
