Hey, hey, hey Dacetacular Nation! The Dace Man is back and he brings with him the latest musical gem from "Weird Al" Yankovic! Mandatory Fun hit shelves today, and I've already listened through the album twice! The musical icon has done it again, scoring gold with parodies of songs by artists Imagine Dragons, Robin Thicke, Pharrell, Iggy Azalea, and Lorde! A little over 3 years after the release of Alpocalypse, Al chose a different strategy again when it came to the promotion of the album. Instead of releasing one single associated with the album, he decided he would just wait till the release of the full album and let the audience decide the album's hit. Mandatory Fun has taken the catchy songs from the Billboard charts and applied weird lyrics to it the only way Al Yankovic can.

In the age of YouTube, the parody business has become a competitive market, and the victor is usually the one who can get out a catchy and funny version first. Al proved why he is the king of parody in this album, taking songs that have been parodied on YouTube within days after the original's release and showing that quality of speed will win every time. Al has also decided to release a music video every day between July 14th and 21st to coincide with the album's release and 8 of the 12 songs. Below you can catch the first video that was released, with multiple cameos from comedians and friends of Al's. Enjoy!
