One of the major focal points was the storyline following Jim Gordon as Batman and the new villain Mr. Bloom. How does Jim handle the responsibilities of working with the Justice League, and what is Bruce Wayne up to in his absence from the mantle? Also, what is freaky about someone with a flower on his face? Fans clamored for the return of Bruce to the cowl, and Snyder urged them to sit back and enjoy the ride.
Talk turned to a solo run for Poison Ivy that will debut in the coming months and explore the botanist side of Pamela Isley as well as the villainous personality we all know and love as she tries to prove that she is innocent of a murder she is accused of committing.
By far the star concept of the panel was Robin, featured in many ways with Robin Wars, We are Robin, and seemingly everyone's favorite, Grayson. The legend of the Robin character will be expanded upon as Grayson will return to Gotham and defect from Spyral while those who have been inspired by the mantle of Robin will fight to honor its legacy. It is the 50th anniversary of the character, so they want to focus on why Dick Grayson is one of the best in the superhero genre and doesn't get as much credit as he deserves.
Not too many bombshells were dropped as far as news goes, but the future looks interesting for the Bat family in the next few months! Stay tuned for more information as New York Comic Con continues!
