6 FLICKS PICKS
Which films make the cut?
6. Ad Astra — I was tempted to put Ma on this list, but even though I can't find a trailer for Ad Astra, the description is more interesting to me. Also, I'm sure if I had seen John Wick 1 and 2, then #3 would be on this list, but I just haven't gotten around to watching those.
5. Rocketman — I have no personal attachment to Elton John, but it looks interesting, and I was into Bohemian Rhapsody despite no connection to Mercury.
4. Godzilla: King of the Monsters — As a kid, I always liked Godzilla movies, even though they were cheesy as hell, so of course I'll see this. But even ignoring that, this movie looks visually beautiful. Mothra alone, c'mon.
3. Brightburn — "What if Superman grew up to be evil?" You have me sold.
2. Pokemon: Detective Pikachu — X.
1. Aladdin — Along with The Lion King and Toy Story, Aladdin is tied to be my favorite animated movie of all time.
