Welcome to another edition of WEEK IN GEEK here at Fanboys Anonymous—a rundown of some of the events, news and stories that went down over the past few days in the geek culture spectrum.
Here are some of the topics I felt like voicing my opinions about:
Marvel Legacy
Older Marvel films that aren't in the MCU are being classified Legacy titles for Disney+.
I like the name. It differentiates enough but lets people know it's not part of the same connectivity.
The Batman Set in 2019
Set photos have dated The Batman to take place in 2019. Now can we finally stop with the nonsense about this being a 90s film?
The Boys Season 2
I finally got around to finishing season 2 of The Boys. Called a lot of the finale ("I bet they're going to kill Ryan's mom so he'll have to deal with that while growing up" and whatnot).
The show's great, so I'm excited for season 3. I'd like to see Ryan somehow find himself as a member of The Boys. Give me more Esposito, as you can never have enough of him. But really, Homelander is where it's at. He's my favorite character, for sure.
Slow News Week
From my perspective, this was a rather uneventful week. Not much to talk about. As always, I'm sure I'm missing tons of things, so if you have anything in mind you want to pick my brain about, drop a comment below and I'll elaborate!
